Ruth and Denice did a merternity shoot for me at 20 weeks, and I can see my bump difference after the 10 weeks quite obviously! My linea nigra is showing pretty prominently too.
WEEK 20 - MER-TERNITY SHOOT
WEEK 30 BUMP (for comparison)
I was also tested to be mildly high in my blood glucose sugar levels, hence I have been doing my 7 times a day finger poke test... Oddly, my results seem to indicate that I'm hypoglycemic in the mornings, before slowly rising as the day goes. My readings went a little over the desired range of 5.5 - 6.6 mmol/L 2 hours after my ramen dinner, before returning to normal again. Diabetes runs in both mom and dad's sides of the family, hence this experience has really made me more careful and aware of the food that goes into my body.
Quick google research suggests a limit of 25g of sugar per day, however now that I look at labels, especially those of drinks, I realised how much additional sugar intake I've been consuming. Even a small packet of HL milk already contains about 10g of sugar per serving. It's easy to bust suggested limits, and packaging marketing can be really misleading. "No added sugar" on fruit juice, does not mean no existing sugars. In fact, there's so much sugar, one packet read 22g per serving. That's close to a day's intake!
I'll need to be consistent with upkeeping my food diary, exercising regularly and not sleeping after meals.
Another 10 weeks to go! I hope all goes well <3
